The Geyje Norling Monastery lies on the slopes of the Himalaya in India. It is located in the Tawang District of the Arunashal Pradesh region and was first founded about 400 years ago. Reopened about 25 years ago by the honorable Geylong Rinchen Tsering it hosts about 42 tibetan monks.
Since the year 15-05-2001 Tulku Lama Jampa Chöjor, H.E Lotok Tulku Jangchup Pelsang Jampa Thenley and Lobsang Tendar are working on the enlargment and modernisation of the Monastery.
One of the concerns of the Monastery is to build medical center in the village and at the Monastery to bring very needed medical care to the region. As the ridges of the Himalaya are difficult to excess there must be a proper medical care system installed. The villagers need facilities for first aid and permanent health care desperately.
