History of Monastery
Geyje norling monks at 1999 and 2006,
The Monastery was first found about 500 years ago by tibetan monks. For many years about many monks lived in the Monastery. As the monks of the Monastery where very poor the Monastery was closed for the last 150 years. During this time the building was used for different purposes by the villagers around.
About 25 years ago the honorable Geylong Rinchen Tsering reopened the Monastery lived there alone for a number of years. His teachings brought new life to the building. He started to give lectures in buddhism and tought tibetan medicine to the communities around. Slowly more monks came to live in the Monastery.
In 2001 Tulku Lama Jampa Chöjor, H.E Lotok Tulku Jangchup Pelsang Jampa Thenley, Ven, Geshi Lobsang Tendar and Ven, Jampa Norbu started to enlargen the Monastery.
